Mocha has a winning smile, a personality to match, and an interest in meeting people of all ages. Mocha?s one vice is her occasional insistence on leash grabbing which she does when she?s overly stimulated or anxious. With proper exercise and an experienced dog handler, this cute compact girl has the potential to be the loving companion she was when she first entered the shelter. Kennel life has worn Mocha out. She used to whine relentlessly and gnaw frantically on the gates trying to escape. Now she?s learned to relax and patiently wait for her afternoon walk. When she does get the chance to experience the wind in her hair and the grass beneath her feet, Mocha has trouble controlling her rambunctious side. She?s been known to grab hold of a tree branch (still on the tree!) and hang on until she or the branch have exhausted their resources. It?s quite a sight to watch the two come tumbling down! Mocha can be mischievous but, when on her best behavior, she?s a lovely, sociable lady who would make an excellent addition to a dog savvy family with or without older kids. Both lap dog and hiking partner, Mocha would do best as a single pet as she can be selective with other dogs and would probably chase the family cat relentlessly.
