Due to our current building situation at Pets Alive Westchester Paulie is in a temporary foster home. If you are interested in adopting please fill out our online application! Paulie is a handsome, photogenic Rottweiler born in 2003. He's an eager, attentive gentleman who's currently hampered by his shy, reclusive side (even though you'd never know by that winning smile!). When Paulie first arrived at the shelter he was quite sociable but, with more kennel time came less interaction with people. With less interaction, and given his very sensitive nature, Paulie became somewhat distrustful of everyone and everything around him. Paulie's biggest problem: it takes some time and patience to get him on leash. Once leashed, however, he's quite manageable. He can relax up to a point and can be very affectionate and lively. Even though Paulie is wary of strangers and unsure about moving outside his comfort zone, we know he'll do well in the hands of loving, experienced adult owners. Kids and cats are probably not the best match. But, as his personality is generally submissive, Paulie would probably enjoy a multi-dog household composed of gentle older four-legged friends.
